Journal Header

Element	Description
Search	Search across your journal entries by keyword
+ Create a Journal	Dropdown with two options: Trading Note or Daily Journal

Journal History

Three columns shown side by side at the top of the page:

Recent

Most recent journal entries. Each entry shows:

Entry title (e.g. “TN Wed, 13 Aug, 2025”)
NET P&L (green = profit, red = loss)
Date
Favourite heart icon

Favorites

All entries you have starred/hearted — same card format as Recent. A “View all →” link opens the full favorites list.

Shared With Me

Journal entries other TraderFrame users have shared with you. Shows an empty state (“Journals shared to you will be shown here”) when no entries have been shared yet.

Explore Journal Templates

Pre-built templates to help structure your journal entries. Three templates are shown by default:

Template	Description
Intra-day Check-In	Log market updates during the day
Checklist	Tick off key trading tasks
Weekly Report	Review your week’s trades

Click “View all Journal Templates →” to see the full library. Click any template card to start a new journal entry pre-filled with that structure.

Journals Overview

A table at the bottom of the page listing all your journal entries. Two tabs switch between entry types:

Trade Notes	All trading note entries
Daily Journal	All daily journal entries

Table Columns

Column	Description
Name	Entry title with date (e.g. “DJ: Wed, 13 Aug, 2025”)
Date Created	Date and time the entry was created
Net P&L	Profit or loss for that entry (green = profit, red = loss)
No. of Trades	Number of trades linked to this entry
Tags	Any tags applied to the entry (e.g. “Strategies”, “General”)
View Journal →	Open the full journal entry
Delete	Delete the entry

Daily Journal Editor (`/journal/daily-journal`)

Daily journal editor — rich text toolbar and entry

A full rich-text editor for writing trading journal entries. The editor also shows a Recent entries sidebar on the right and a Trade Calendar widget below it.

Editor Header

Element	Description
Journal Title	Editable title at the top (click to rename)
Favourite (♥)	Heart icon to star/unstar the entry
Last Updated	Shows how recently the entry was saved
Add tags	Attach custom tags to the entry
Templates	Apply a pre-built template to the current entry
Save	Save the entry manually (also auto-saves)

Feature	Description
Paragraph style	Heading levels and paragraph formatting
Font size	Adjust text size
Text colour	Change font colour
Bold / Italic / Underline / Strikethrough	Standard text formatting
Alignment	Left, centre, right, justify
Bullet & numbered lists	Ordered and unordered lists
Insert image	Embed an image in the journal body
Embed chart	Insert a performance chart (Net Gross P&L, Profit Factor, Win Rate, Cumulative P&L) inline
TradingView chart	Embed a TradingView chart via modal

Element	Description
Recent	Quick list of your 3 most recent journal entries to jump between
Trade Calendar	Mini monthly calendar colour-coded by profit (green) and loss (red) days. Month dropdown to navigate

Trade Details (`/journal/trades`)

Opens when you click a specific trade from history. Full breakdown of that trade:

Field	Description
Symbol	Trading pair (e.g. EUR/USD, BTC/USDT)
Signal	Buy or Sell
Open / Close time	Exact entry and exit timestamps
Open / Close price	Entry and exit price
Leverage	Leverage used
Amount / Margin	Trade size and margin
Fees	Open and close fees
P&L	Realized profit or loss with %
Closure Reason	Why the trade closed — Take Profit, Stop Loss, Expired, Manual, etc.

Trading Note (`/journal/trading-note`)

A quick note editor for short market observations or reminders — lighter than the full daily journal but uses the same rich text editor.
