Hyperliquid is an on-chain perpetuals exchange. In TraderFrame it is a crypto venue like Bybit or OKX: the same bots, the same sizing in USDC, the same exit engine and Trade Agent. Your funds stay in your own wallet on Hyperliquid. TraderFrame never holds them.

What is different

Hyperliquid has no API keys. Every request is a wallet signature. So instead of a key and secret you create an API wallet on Hyperliquid and give TraderFrame its private key together with your main wallet address. An API wallet can place and cancel orders for your account. It can never withdraw or transfer, and you can revoke it on Hyperliquid at any time. Never paste your main wallet’s private key anywhere. TraderFrame does not ask for it and refuses keys that are not API-wallet shaped.

Connect

  1. In the Hyperliquid app open More → API. Create an API wallet, give it a name such as TraderFrame, and choose how long it stays valid. Copy its private key. It is shown once.
  2. Copy your main wallet address, the 0x… address your funds sit under.
  3. In TraderFrame: Brokers → Connect broker → Hyperliquid. Choose Demo for testnet or Real for mainnet, paste the wallet address and the API wallet key, and connect. Your USDC balance appears when it succeeds.
Demo means Hyperliquid testnet. It is a separate network with its own wallet balance from the testnet faucet, and the API wallet must be created on the testnet app. A mainnet API wallet does not work there, and the other way round.

Trading

  • Perpetual markets only, symbols like SOL/USDC:USDC. Leverage up to the market’s maximum, cross or isolated margin.
  • Signals may name the pair the way your chart does. BTCUSDT, BTCUSD.P, HYPERLIQUID:BTCUSD and BTC all reach a bot set to BTC/USDC:USDC; a different coin is still refused.
  • Funding is paid every hour, one eighth of an 8-hour rate, and the Trade Agent reads it as such.
  • Hyperliquid’s fees apply as on any exchange. TraderFrame does not add a fee today.
  • Market entries are sent as immediate-or-cancel orders capped at 5% from the best price, which is how Hyperliquid takes market orders. In a thin market the unfilled part is cancelled rather than chased.
  • Your stop loss and take profit sit on Hyperliquid as trigger orders, so they fire even while TraderFrame is offline. Trailing stops are not offered by Hyperliquid; leave that rule off.

If the balance shows 0

  • On Demo, the testnet wallet needs USDC from the testnet faucet. Mainnet funds do not appear there.
  • On Real, funds must be bridged to Hyperliquid, not just sitting on Arbitrum.

If connecting fails

  • “User or API wallet does not exist”: the API wallet was created on the other network, or the address is wrong. Recreate it on the network that matches Demo or Real.
  • An API wallet created with an expiry stops working after it. Create a new one and reconnect.

Limits

  • Hyperliquid does not serve US users.
  • One API wallet per TraderFrame connection. Use a separate one for anything else that trades your account.
